Ethos’ business strategy is to develop, build, own and operate biofuels facilities in the Latin America and Caribbean regions, where nearly half the world’s sugarcane is produced. In this region of the world sugarcane grows abundantly and it can be harvested for use as the most energy and cost efficient feedstock for ethanol production. In fact, ethanol derived from Latin American sugarcane is the only fuel that is gallon for gallon competitive with oil - even if oil falls to $40/barrel.
