Guillermo Espiga, CFO/Interim CEO
Guillermo Espiga has over 20 years of project infrastructure experience and more than 12 years of financing and M&A experience first with Credit Suisse First Boston in New York and later with InterGen as global head of Project Finance; InterGen is a global power developer with more than 16,000 MW of installed capacity. He has been responsible for the financing of more than US$ 2 billion in non-recourse financing and more than US$ 200MM of M&A activity in the U.S., Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
Eduardo Moreno, VP Operations/Chief Engineer
Eduardo Moreno has over 35 years of experience in the Colombian sugar industry and was responsible for the engineering design and buildout of 3 of Colombia’s 5 ethanol plants. He served as VP of factory operations for the INCAUCA and Providencia mills through 2005, and was also responsible for the engineering design and construction of the 34MW cogeneration facility at the INCAUCA sugar mill.
Benjamin Link, VP Business Development
Benjamin Link has led numerous health and infrastructure related projects in the Dominican Republic and has worked closely with major sugar producers in many parts of Central America. He is fluent in Spanish, maintains close connections with several Central American government ministries and has collaborated with the private sector on large-scale programs located in the primary sugar-growing regions.
Ricaurte Araujo, VP Agro Operations
Ricaurte Araujo is a founding member of IMECOL; a manufacturing and sugarcane logistics company based in Cali, Colombia responsible for moving 2.5 million tons of cane per harvest. He has over 20 years of experience in the sugarcane industry throughout Latin America and the Caribbean and serves as a representative for BMA (Germany), Detroit Stoker (USA), Praj (India) and John Deere. He was involved in the construction and buildout of 5 ethanol plants in the Cauca valley of Colombia.
